I will post the actually advert for you guys on Monday.

The Caxton awards was held on Thursday evening up in Joburg, unfortunately I wasnt there. But my name and Kathryn was mention , she went up to collect the above Certificate.

Been at the company for just over 3months and I've won a Prize

Prize money was R2500 between the two of us.

Thanks you very much guys. I will be posting the Design on Monday,

I want you guys to keep in mind that this design isnt anything spectacular, because with the newspaper we print on you design cant be over the top and fancy, ok when it comes to a full page ad like most of the time i have to or do then you can spread your wings a little and design something amazing, obviously this also depends on the ad on hand.

This design on the other hand is simple yet affective and by using white space on an ad it gives the ad a better feel and draw of attention. Coz the paper around on that page could maybe be quiet busy with colour and alot of editorial. But you guys will see what i mean.

Will put a pdf of that page here for you guys to see aswell.

Most of the times i place about 70% of the adverts on the paper. And sometimes a good couple adverts a day im designing.

Anyways Until then once again thank you very much for the comments, much appreciated.. :wink: :wink: :D :D

Is there categories for car sales mags like, Auto Trader, The Wheels Guide etc.?

If so, how does the mag get nominated? Me and the dude I work for would love to get our little mag in there.

I seriously wouldnt have a clue.

Because Caxton is all over south Africa, so you could basically say its one huge company , but we are just one of those branches. So we send in our best work etc for the company under Caxton awards.

Oh yea the Prize money was R1375 EACH!!

Nicely done doob. There are lots of things I would have tweaked and changed perhaps, but thats where personal choice comes in.

Yea true there are other things ive would have done, but newspaper the use of white space is gold.
