Nomenclature?????

Post by amock »

Does anybody have a clue what what nomenclature of network hardware is. I was given the following questions after having designed a theoretical network for an IS project:

"Desribe your nomenclature for switch, hub, patch panel, cable, server, workstation, and other device Id's" :?: :?: :?:

and

"Narrative justifying why a particular technology/cabling type/hardware was chosen - with hardware cross-refernced by nomenclature" :?: :?: :?:

any help would be Sweet! :D

A system of words used in a particular discipline
That's a dictionary definition.

Well your nomenclature refers to the terminology or the technical names if i am not mistaken.

check glossary
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Nomenclature is just the name for something - eg your server could be called Boris, your switch could be Igor, etc...
