"For Sale" Section suggestion
"For Sale" Section suggestion
Is it possible to add a section into the "For Sale" section when posting a new topic which allows the poster to choose the type of item being sold/wanted?
Example, if it is a CPU, you select the CPU option.
This would make searching for things much easier, as you could simply search by type.
Any large sales (ie entire PCs) would then have an entry in all related thread types.
For example, the poster would select what hardware is actually in the pc, from a list of all types of hardware available (GFX, CPU, Mobo, HDD, Optical, OS, Monitor, KB, Mouse, Speakers etc). Then, based on which options were ticked, the relevant threads would have an entry created.
This would REALLY make searching for hardware a breeze.

I'm sure there is a feature that can be installed which allows you to post meta tags for your post. But what's wrong with the normal search function? Just search in the relevant section.

WiK1d, Nothing particularly, just that you could search for a cpu, processor, E6600, and get differing results, basedo nthe poster.
Same goes for GFX, VGA, Graphics card; motherboard, mobo, mb; RAM, memory etc...
Was just a suggestion though, if it is unworkable or cumbersome then ignore it.

I'm with Fire on this one. Our classifieds section isn't busy enough. I hear what you're saying though Urban.
Look, ask Ron. If it's easy to install, it would be a welcomed addition. If it's too much work, just use the search function

It sounds like quite a bit of work, but I'll investigate this one as soon as I can drag myself away from World of Warcraft.

You need a minimum post count to be able to view it.
