Re: Bigger Avatars
Just some inside info for you.
It is still under discussion but I know for a fact that the sigs guidelines will be amended. The question is just how at the moment. Ron2K has proposed some guidelines which he ammended from what they use on another forum. I like the suggestions and I think a lot of the other mods and admins will also like it when they have a look. What is proposed is not only a simple size ammendment to the image allowed in a sig but a complete rewrite as to the way in which we will allow sigs. This includes things such as lies of text, font sizes, links and images. It still depends on the other peeps impressions of it but I thought of giving you a heads up so long.

As long as we can do more than we currently can, otherwise its just stupid IMO.

Oh, good plan Ronald! We should never allow lies in our sigs. I also think we should limit the amount of lines that can be used.RuadRauFlessa wrote:What is proposed is not only a simple size ammendment to the image allowed in a sig but a complete rewrite as to the way in which we will allow sigs. Seriously though, I'll be very glad to see HUGE TEXT outlawed in sigs, as well as links to every item you have ever placed in the For Sale thread. It just makes things look messy.

Re: Bigger Avatars
The new sig rules are as follows:
- Images in signatures may be no more than 150px high, 450px wide and 25kB (25000 bytes) in size.
- Signatures containing an image this large may have up to four lines of small size text (size 75) or three lines of normal size text (size 100). Sigs less than 75px high may contain an extra line of small or normal size text, sigs less than 45px high may contain two extra lines of small or normal size text.
- Only one image is permitted in a signature.
- Links in signatures may only be personal in nature, and may not link to any commercial site (see rules on advertising). Only text links are allowed, image links are not permitted. There is a limit of 5 links per signature.
- Signatures may not exceed 600 characters. This includes links and images.

Wrong thread!!!!! Does this have anything to with the topic title!Ron2K wrote:The new sig rules are as follows:

Stuart wrote:I actually think a change in sigs is more pressing than avvies. I'd like to see sigs increased (in dimension) to 450x150. 150px seems to be the standard height on most forums that I browse, and it does give a little more room to play with. 30KB weight would also be welcome, but let's not push it here.

You DO know that 25KB, and 25000 bytes are not equal values, right?Ron2K wrote:

Re: Bigger Avatars
If you're using SI prefixes: 25kB = 25000 bytes; 25KiB = 25600 bytes.DAE_JA_VOO wrote:Ooh i like the change! Thanks guys

Well Kilo means 1000 so 25 kilo = 25 * Kilo = 25 000

Not at all, both were looked at; personally I did not want either changed but the majority favoured a sig size increase, some favoured both to be increased and Rumpledforeskin had the final say.
