lord of the rings (all;not quite the book but it guess it wasn't meant to be)
matrix 1 (very original)
akira (the apocoliptic plot just blew me away)

vanilla sky (surprisingly good)
anything by david Lynch (lost highway,mulholland drive etc.)

I also enjoy tom hanks movies. (saving private ryan, the one where he is trapped on a island with a volleyball, and the one where he is a retard with braces and he teaches elvis how to dance)
