Since the last few posts were deleted, I've got an answer out of EA regarding the activation:
EA wrote:Please note that activation of the game can only be completed on 5 computer systems. Anyone should be able to reinstall the game as many times as they wish on any of the 5 computer systems it has already been performed on. However, when thee installation will be over then you need to contact us, we are on hand to supply any additional authorizations that are warranted. This will be done on a case-by-case basis by contacting Customer Support.

Note: Re-installing your operating system will count as a "new computer" installation.

I can see a lot of crap in EA's future with the DRM.

The first mess (for me) happened with Mass Effect, which has a smaller player base, since RPG's aren't as popular as other genre's.

Next was Spore, which had a lot of hype, and the DRM upset a lot more people.

Now they are doing the same for NFS, which is one of their most popular franchises. You don't have to be a seer to see the s**t coming.

I'm going to enjoy watching the fallout from this.

Odd how they removed mass effects one(if im not mistaking)

3 courtcases , 2 are actually serious ones.
The put DRM on one of the sims2 add-ons or something and now a lady is suing the crap out of them.
But just think. NFS, the sims and Command and Conquer. Also, just think of the new games. I won't buy mirrors edge until they fix their problems.

NFS sounds great according to all the previews. I'm really reliefed. Then again, NFS prostreet received good reviews but is was an awefull game. I'm trusting the media less and less each day.

Just wondering, is it legal to use a crack/keygen on a game you bought to avoid crap like this?

Which review did you read? Care to link for the rest of us? I have found Gamespot but am wary about anything they type...

I understand it's for the Xbox 360 but I can't see the PC version being much different.

I was really looking forward to a "new" game. Returning to some of the roots that made the series a classic.

Need for speed has not been fun for a while now.

I wish they will return to NFS2SE real cars with slide-shows and commentary type for each car. Further more I enjoyed NFS: Porsche unleashed; actually playing the different cars and feeling the advances. The maps were actually so bloody good.

I am so tired of this arcade crap they are producing now. :x :x

I like the arcade crap :P

I buy NFS to drive cool bottom cars, race to unlock shibby upgrades and do corners at around 10billion km/h... One review said something about it beeing exactly like Most Wanted, and that's the main reason for the bad score.

Then I relaxed, because NFS:MW was sweet

Guess it is a case of: "Different strokes for different okes"

Anybody have a suggestion on another racing game that is more like the classics as I described above. I apologize if I am misusing this thread for my own devious gains.

If it is like MW then I will buy it however I am going to wait until proper review come out. Although in saying that I have just read the IGN review and I am very disappointed...

Closing Comments
Need for Speed Undercover is a poor game with a ton of problems, both technically and in terms of design. The open world design is completely lost as you can't actually drive to any event, many races are closed off which means no cross traffic, and it's incredibly easy. The presentation could have been good but winds up feeling totally contrived and confusing at times. The game could, and should, have been leaps and bounds better than it is.
The only good part is the sound it scored a 8.0... :? Bargain Bin game.
