Subscription?! I wouldn't take out a subsription to PCF. No offence PCF, you're a good mag, but not good enough (for my liking). I'm more focused on hardware and overclocking, so a mag like CustomPC fits my needs VERY well. PCF is focused on a more BROAD spectrum.
I'm not paying for it, it was a gift :?

Ok. Has anybody here ever worked for a publishing house? I didn't think so.

Mistakes slip in. It happens. We are only human. And so is the guys at PCF.

They are not only doing PCF. There are other publications they have to bring out as well. Ask yourself if you have ever made a mistake in your life?

If the answer is NO, go jump off the nearest high object or place and land on your head. That would be a mistake. Learn from it.

So instead of bitching and moaning about a few tiny mistakes why dont you ask yourself another simple question: Did the mag give me any information this month that I can use?

If the answer to that question is NO. Go buy another magazine.

Great work on PCF guys. The mag still rocks. I know you guys are under a GREAT deal of stress with deadlines. Mistakes slip in. Its normal. Keep up the good work.

Ok, I realise they are only human and all but you have to admit that was a little bad  I'll stop complaining now

:D

The quality control aspect of a magazine or any other publication is very important.

I have seen designs checked by 3 people to confirm the copy and still errors slip in.

Maxxis. The least they could have done was just look at the DVD. The FIRST thing i noticed when loading the DVD, was "Patchs". Any kid could've noticed that, and someone who is LOOKING for mistakes should spot something like that easily.

Well, think of it this way, if we had to send a PM to everyone after each post they make to let them know they have spelling mistakes, we would not be able to read much now would we ?
I dare you - count how many words there are in PCF cover to cover - then match how many mistakes there are... odds are not even if you ask me

Thats an entirely different matter. This is a forum, a place to relax; PCF is a magazine, a job. Besides, how hard is it to hit F7?

I also really enjoyed the June issue. Read it cover to cover. I liked the Tomb Raider demo. She's got a bouncy bosom. I like that.

That "Patchs" error really messes up the cover disk. Other than that i don't mind the odd error unless it messes up the meaning of the sentence and I have to chill there for a couple of minutes trying to figure out when the P4 2800+ came into existence. Too many errors do get annoying though and they can mess up a good article or two.

No, you're right, the whole thing is hand-written in a very neat font. That's how they do all the magazines these days. And it's not like they're photocopied either - each magazine is carefully hand-written. That's why there are mistakes in your mag - your mag was done by a temp.

I have one for you. Its a desk with a white perspex sheet mounted inside the wood. Uses a double tube light to power it.

PM me or MSN.
