Why the need for a new desktop thread when you can just continue an existing one? Too many threads about the same thing can get very confusing. If you really wanted a desktop thread so bad why did this one die?

@WiKiD - Go ahead, make my day!

I've only been part of the forums for a month, so this theming thread died before i even got here. But as you can see, there's a demand for a new one. Nobody's got the time to sit and read 11 pages before they can post. Come on YODA. PLEEEAAASSSEEE!? :)

A good way to hide certain icons on your desktop is TweakUI from windows, you can hide recycle bin, net work places etc without having to not show your desktop

I don't understand why you feel the need to read 11 pages before posting. Just post what you want to post.

Rather say you're too lazy to read the 11 pages. :P You read way more than that if you combine all the other threads you post in.
Just continue with this one, there's no need for a new one when this one already works, and besides, it will only be a matter of time before the new one is 11 pages also, so what's the diffs?

Okay, here's a desktop i made a few months ago. I'm posting 2 pics. The first one is of the desktop at standard:

Now, i can click on any of those icons to reveal a set a apps, respective to the icon.
i.e. click on the gimp icon and all my photo editing software will shoot out the side, then i can chose what to run.

The 2 buttons on top bring out CPU and RAM usage when clicked.

Here's the second pic:

What do you guys think?

Well, for that theme i used:

Samurize, for all the desktop info.

Windowblinds: Taskbar and entire windows theme

Object dock: Bar at the bottom

um, yeah, i think that's it.

Here's an official Microst black theme for XP.

No need to tweak anything.

Just install it.
