CONSOLES VS PC

It´s true PC´s can be upgraded, console´s can´t.
 Consoles are only for games, PC´s can do a lot more. PC´s has beter controls in FPS. Consoles get the best games first execpt DOOM 3, DEUS EX 2 and THIEF 3 but stil the PS2 get my favourite GTA a long time before it´s ported to the PC. Which one is the best ?

For me there´s really no contest. On consoles you can only play games ( and watch DVD´s on some ), and those same games look 10x better on a high end PC, on which you can also watch movies, listen to music, browse the internet, read & write stuff, view photos, record and mix music, record video, and thousands of other things... <IMG SRC="images/forum/smilies/icon_biggrin.gif">

For me, games are meant to be played on a PC. Whether you are at home or at work. Also PC games are up to R150.00 cheaper. Also with PC's, you can not only play computer games, but you can program your own games, change/edit maps for games, download FREE games,etc. Plus you can play games at work (the boss will definitely notice that console and tv set-up in your office/cubicle).

Games, for me, are meant to be played on PC's. They run faster, play better and above all, the graphics will be up to 10X better.

Who cares if the consoles get their games before the PC. This just gives us a chance to see what they game would look like on a PC.

lets just look at this from a purely aesthetic view point.

Console games will never look as good as PC games. ever. It all comes down to resolution.

PAL TV = 720x576
Pc Monitor = 1280x1024 and above

see? no contest.

Typical PC-people response!

Consoles will never replace PCs - it'll just cost too much to fit in all the features of a high end PC into a console. But there is a group of people out there (a considerably large group!) that just want to play games! They prefer just sticking a CD into a slot and playing. Is this a good thing? I don't know! Personally, I prefer my gaming on PC. But, to each his own!
