Hi There

I`am Running a 2600+(Barton) with 512mbDDR333 , and a 9600XT (clock= 500/625)
My Score in 3Dmark 03 = 4096

I would Like to know how to increase my FarCry Frame rate? I downloaded Patch 1.2 , I am running CataLyst 4.11

On Very High Settings i get an AVG of 34 Fps. The Problem is that on certain passages the game lags a bit. Is there a way of making it faster and if the way is overclockin, wich clocks are safe?

Far Cry is 1 of the most resource hungry games yet. I played it running high-end specs and still got slow frames here & there.

Firstly make sure you turn off AF & AA totally.

What resulution you playing @?. Also drop a quality setting if you want 2 play hassle free.

Max settings in this game runs fine (barely) on top-end cards only, sorry mate.

Damn, Resolution is 1024 x 768.

It kind of feels crap to turn down graphics to med!!!!!!

Well I played Farcry with all the detail to the max, but I did not have AA on..... and texture filtering was on Trillinear.. at a resolution of 1024x768.
I get 40 fps all the time with no slow downs....

Rayne I think the Game is easy till it gets to the Final Stages! They are damn hard! I only played the game once but with Medium Difficulty! If i figure out how to make the game quicker i`ll try it on Hard!

What Graphic Card do you have in your PC?

Yeah I agree, games like Far Cry aren't meant to be played with a gamepad.

Crytek signed a deal 2 make a series in the Far Cry genre. (So I read somewhere, think it was NAG or PC Gamer). Movie starring "The Rock" in the making also.

We should see another PC version...

I hope so, because I think that it was the best game of the last season! For me it was even a better gaming Experience as Doom 3 was! I can`t judge HL2 i am still waiting for it !

HL2 will be game of the year hands down. Brilliant. Gaming @ it's best. You will definately enjoy it.

I 2 enjoyed Far Cry more than Doom 3. I think Crytek got a lot less credit than they deserved for this game. Most of us didn't even know it was coming. There was no pre-boasting about it. It came unexpected & blew us all away.

Sorry didn't see that. I have the Z640. Good stuff. Like Nerevar said, just make sure your bass lies below 20/30. It's good quality & very deep.

Cant comment on the new series though...

The sound volume in advanced system sound properties. Don't push it sky high. Keep the surround high & bass low.
