What Graphics Card suites my PC specs?

Post by Anti_Freez »

I´ve got a Asus P2, 192Mb RAM, 400MHz CPU, 16mb Nvidia Vanta. Will it B worth buying a "Gigabyte GA660 TNT2 32MB"?

If it is the M64 nvidia chip it is not worth it,
is their a problem with your current card, does the games still play wothout any glitches, if it does keep it. a better upgrade is to buy a card with a graphical processor unit on it (GPU). Eg: the geforce 2 mx200

Grapgat... :D

@Anti-Freez rather go for GeForce mx200 or mx400 if you can find one.
Does your motherboard have an AGP or PCI port?

I used to have a Leadtek Geforce MX400 with 64mb ram.
Nice cards for their time.

No, why?
That way we we can see how hectic you can upgrade a pentium II.
Would be interesting to see what a p II would be capable of with a nice top end graphics card that is still agp.

The P2 sucked!!!! The Amd Tbird was the best!! and with 256MB SD100 AND a geforce 3 ti it would play very good

PS : What video card must I buy if I don't have an AGP or PCI slot?

you cant fit a x1900xtx, its pci-express only at this stage.
To my knowledge the 7800gs is the top of the range agp card.
