Post by Off-The-Chart »

Believe it or not I am uncertain of what you are trying to do. Can you post a pic?

Just connect the 4 wires together?

If you know how to split hairs you shouldn't have a problem.

Fine advice from YOda there, very informative! Look if those four wires are serving a purpose like each one is connected to its own pin then you cannot do what you have drawn there!
Where are the leads originating and why do want to do this, the only application I can think of is if you are setting up a common earth point? Otherwise you have no return path?

Ok, here is what I wanted to do although after a bit of analysis I saw that I won't actually be using it, or not at this moment... You know the power plug that you plug into a drive (4 pin molex) sometimes has another 2 or 3 connections to it... They come from only 1 source, the PSU... I wanted to take the one source and split it into 2/3 connections instead of 1 linked to the other linked to the other...
Here is another image which hopefully explains better:

This would make it parallel, I think. Would this be wise?

Judging by your diagram you were about to electricute yourself. Just get a one to many adapter at your local pc shop. Just make sure your psu can handle the extra connections though.

Well for one the adapter sticks to the original concept of 4 to 4 wires. Which incidently is the only way it will ever work. What you could do is cover the wires up with various wire kits available at your local mod shop.

How bout this idea: It sticks to the basic molex idea only in a panel...
Image
I think this one is gonna work cause all that's changed is instead of a molex connector it's connected to a panel...

Well three molex connectors in a chain is exactly the same as three molex connectors with all their wires coming from one point- ie in Paralell. All the earth are connected to the earths etc. I've never seen connectors connected in Series before.
