Internet Explorer

Post by Belix »

Hi Folks
Internet Explorer 6 with XP. Very often when I try a link or submit something on the web, I get a page not found error. If I refresh, hey, there the page. It almost seems like there is some kind of timeout that is far to quick. Very annoying especially when submitting online forms. I have to have to push 'back', fill in the whole form AGAIN, and try again.
Is it IE6 or the ADSL that's at fault?

Also, anyone notice the highly annoying thing with IE6 that when you load up IE, and start typing something in the address bar to quickly (i.e. before the default page has loaded), the idiotic program resets the curser to the beginning of the line so you end up typing complete drivel - you end with url that look like this ail.comwww.hotm - Drives me completely nuts.

You can't really uninstall IE, but you can just stop using it. Go with FFox, you won't be disappointed :P Oh, and if the home address is bugging you, set it to about:blank. That's what mine is always set to, regardless of the browser.
I thought what I'd do was, I'd pretend I was one of those deaf-mutes.

Oh dear.
Don't think FireFox likes me much. Installed it about an hour ago and three time now, when clicking back, or entering something into the google search and pushing enter, the screen has gone balck and the PC has rebooted.
PC has never done this before installing FireFox
