they seem okay the scores seem a little low for the card (glad to see it still works) but i think your limited to either ram or cpu.

It's not my 6800 ULTA. the card went bye bye. this is my fathers 6800 128mb card.

My pc is gone. the 512 mb chip that worked, gives me parity errors the whole time.

ouch! oh well at least with that card you be able to play hl2 with dx9 settings. anyone who owns a nvidia NV3X chip can only play in DX8 for great performance DX9 is way to slow for them.

Have you played HL2? You think it would run ok on this PC, if I put another 512 DDR400 in?

i havent played it dont have the cash or machine to play it nicely but heres a review or two on cards for the game the first one with high end DX9 cards http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2278 the second one with mediem to low cards http://www.anandtech.com/video/showdoc.aspx?i=2281. It should work fine with your machine from what I understand if you have 512mb RAM you will notice an increase in load times compared to 1 GB of ram.

I think that is a pretty good score, i noticed that you still running a Nforce2 ultra motherboard and a 3200+ CPU, keeping in mind that it runs at a 400fsb!

Thats why I think it's not to bad at all. Does not compare to my old pc though.

Anakha56, you read my thread. My pc was completely obliterated. the only working thing that came out of it, were my ide, and SATA cables, and my soundcard, and DVD Writer. the rest is history

Have you unlocked the hidden pipelines on your father's 6800 128mb yet ? Overclocked ? I scored around 11k in 3dmark03 on a similar setup a while ago, so you should be able to do better.

Eesh Maplas, how did you manage to mess up ur old pc dude? Was the side of the case open? Damn, anyway those scores are fine considering you're running a socket a setup. Anyway as snakker said there are another 4 pipes to be unlocked on that 6800, you might want to consider it for more longevity of that machine.
