At the moment im using a amd k6-2 550mhz 128mb ram, creative tnt2 32mb.......and its slowwww.

From what you have said I would say that yes it is good enough for present games:-D and you shouldn´t have any problems. I am not even going to say anything about how long this machine will last you because there is no correct answer for that.

I will say one thing. It at least SEEMS that PC´s are able to meet the minimum requirements for games for a much longer period of time than their predecessors. I think this is because games are becoming more and more customizable with regard to the amount of detail etc. needed to run. I´ve had my PC for two and a half years, and I haven´t really run into any problems with being able to run games yet.
But we were Dragons. We were supposed to be cruel, cunning, heartless, and terrible. But this much I can tell you, you ape - we never burned and tortured and ripped one another apart and called it morality.
