I really don't appreciate that. Read the paragraph near the bottom of the first post. http://www.pcformat.co.za/modules.php?n ... 8fccedd500

That was really uncalled for, okay?

Oh my, aren't we Mr. Sensitive? It was a joke you fool. There are people on this forum with PC's slower than my calculator. They don't take it out on the forum and they don't get jealous or nasty about it.

Sorry, but I've been a bit sensitive about my PC lately. It doesn't help when all my friends (except two of them) have a better PC than me. I really hate it when they tellme to hurry up at a LAN cause everyone is waitng for my pc to load.

Scored 10,261 on an Athlon X2 4400+ with a GeForce 7950 GX2 with everything running at stock speeds (I'm not an overclocker, in my opinion factory defaults are there for a reason). Ran the tests at 1280x1024 with 4xAA.

Try running it on default settings 1024x768 and post a shot please. Would like to see how my SLI setup compares.

I'll do that over the weekend. I'm currently borrowing a PSU for this rig (the actual one is only arriving on Tuesday) which means that I have to hook it up externally, which is a real schlep.

That being said, I will accept all manner of bribes to do it this evening...

OK...

Attempted to run the 1024x768 tests, but 3DMark displayed the loading screen, faded to black, and promptly froze my system. Happened twice. I'm not sure what the problem is, coming from a TNT2, but I'm guessing that the video drivers (version 91.27) are at fault here...

OK, I got it working with the default settings. Here's the result...

Image

It's lower than what I was expecting, but then I'm not an overclocker and a 7950 is clocked lower than a 7900 so two 7900s will always win.

(I wonder what I'd score with two 7950s...)

so OC'd my (AGP) Chaintech 6600 yesterday and got a grand total of 3518 score, running a sempron 3000+ 512mb RAM (alpedia)

What I can't understand is my mate (NealeDeadlyAlien) has got a (PCI-X) Giga-byte 6600LE clocked at 400 core and 500 RAM... now my card's stock clocks are 300 and 400, so i pushed it to 375, 500... and it's very stable... could someone please explain this to me... and what does LE stand for anyway?

The LE is like the normal video card declocked - eg.
Geforce 5700 (425/550) and Geforce 5700LE (275/400)
Geforce 6800 (350/700) and Geforce 6800LE (300/700)
First one would be Core speed and second one Memoery speed

I'd post my friends, but his pc just got completely F****ed.
He always kept the DVI to VGA converter in (cause his 6600GT only had 2x DVI ports) and put it on his couch. When he came back, the thing hadd fallen off onto the DVI converter.

Safe to say, his PCIe slot is now useless and his 6600GT now resembles corragated iron (or so what he describes. He got the card a week ago.)

As I said, I redid the test, and got 2514

Lawl, I'm up to 9866. But I see guys getting over 14K with this card. But I see they have them on insane clock speeds.

3DM05 is CPU dependent as well even though there's no seperate CPU test in the final score. Make sure you clock as high as you can and you should be alright ;) Great scores BTW :D
