Post by Bio-Hazard »

I' need to re-design my company name in a very large format for an outside light sign but I have lost the font. I only have jpg's etc.

Does anybody have this font or ast least know what it's called.

Hi guys. I am looking for the font's name that is used in comic books. I need to do a comic strip for one of my projects and I dont have the time to go through the 3000 fonts I have installed. Just too busy with the character development.

Thanks

Comic Sans is eeeevil. It is a terrible terrible font. It looks so amateur and the planet of bad design is highly saturated with this typeface!
I urge all those budding designers out there to always try to push beyond the obvious-utilise something that not everyone is familiar to death with-be courageous and experiment with different typefaces! There are a multitiude of free fonts out there, utilisie that! Or better yet, create your own. Just please stop with the Times New Romaning and Comic Sansing of the world!!

Thanks Psych0. I have them all.

Never knew that doing a comic strip on PC was so much work. I suck at illustrating so it is taking very long.

Thanks

Oh PS before I forgot. Moo: I only use comic sans ms because it is for a comic strip. I dont plan on using bauhaus or anything that would not fit the design. I am a designer by the way so I know all about the rights and wrongs of fonts. Dont worry.

If you meant font use in general and to all the non designers out there then ignore the above statement.

LOL Moo, you and I are kindred spirits. I too detest Times, Comic Sans and any other "ooh nice little pretty fonts".

When are people going to sit up and realise that Arial and Verdana are the two kings of fonts? :D Plain non-serif fonts are far more stylish, tasteful and easier to read.

But the worst are all those naff sci-fi fonts and the crowned king of bad taste... BANFF (Brushscript) - the UGLIEST, TACKIEST, CHEAPEST-LOOKING font EVER. And yet you see it everywhere!!! 8O

Comic fonts are what people expect in comics. Give them something else and they will revolt.

I kind of like Times. But I do agree that non-serif fonts are easier on the eye.
