"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

So Anakha, I hope you like this one.
I had fun making it.

<IMG SRC="http://www2.freepichosting.com/Images/421549220/3.jpg" BORDER=0>
</A>
Here's a quick tutorial on what I did.
I did everything in Corel Photo-Paint
2) THE BACKGROUND
I took the background image and
cut a rectangle out so when I resized
it to scale it wouldn't distort.
Then obviously I resized it to 120x160p
I just inverted the colour to make it blue.
3) THE WIZARD
Used magic wand to select only the wizard
and then feathered the edges.
Resampled him to fit nicely in the centre
of the background.
4) THE TEXT
Just standard text with a drop shadow glow.
5) THE SIG
Pretty much the same here. Just a mission
to cut out the dragon (time consuming)
I gave the dragon a slight drop shadow glow.
The text I gave a plastic effect with a
drop shadow glow.
More tutorials coming soon.

Bio-Hazard, what does it look like if you take the shadow away from the font? It feels like I have a smudge on my lense when I look at it, and detracts from the rest of the sig.

What I am asking about is the text - its a bit hazy and makes it difficult to read.. Is that due to the shadow glow or is that due to the background? I always have a problem with my text being very in your face or unreadable

basically you will browse for the file on your pc and upload it to photobuckets server. Then just copy the link it gives you and paste that link into your signature box in your profile.

wit_skapie, I like your source image, your positioning, and your mirror imaging between avi and sig, but I think the text is a bit too bold—the letters are “bleeding”. May I suggest not putting it in bold, and using a different font or font color? Or even a lighter color font with a dark stroke. The flames coming out of the mouth looks damn cool though.
Idea: I can’t remember exactly how to use GIMP but how about putting smaller text inside a semitransparent, white, rounded edge, stroked, box that is smaller than the surface area of your current text?

Thanx for the suggestion - i also thought the text was a bit "hard" compared to the rest - but it was late and i was sleepyNarkath wrote:wit_skapie, I like your source image, your positioning, and your mirror imaging between avi and sig, but I think the text is a bit too bold—the letters are “bleeding”. The idea about putting the text in a smaller surface sounds cool. I'm busy working through some GIMP tutorials, "Grokking the GIMP", they have some awesome stuff there.
I'll post Version 2.0 of the sig and avvie after the weekend - this time i'll spend a bit more time on it.
:biggrin:
btw Narkath - you've also got an awesome sig & avvie combo!

Okay, Supertwit wanted me to describe my sig & avvie, so here goes:
First off I use Photoshop 7, so I came across a wallpaer of a warcraft 3 night elf, while listening to Linkin park, and had this idea. So I simply made a new file to the sig size, then resized the wallpaper to fit the height. Then I copied and pasted it to the new file and moved it to the right hand side. I then filled the bckgrnd with solid black, and painted rough strokes in four colours. I then filled it again with black and faded it to darken the strokes. Next came the text and a 35mm lens flare in the left top corner. To finish I put a 2 pixel frame around the sig, and color dodged the joint between pic and bckgrnd. The avvie was a simple paste of the pic and the addition of a black frame. And there you have it.
