Avatar & Sig

I finally made my own avatar and sig...

I used a pic of the "Neverwinter Nights" website and edited it with GIMP.

What you guys think?

Anyway some of you might say making a seperate thread for my own avatar is a bit stupid - BUT i thought this thread could become a general info one - for newbies etc. who want to now about sigs and avvies.
They post questions here, "How do i upload..." etc.

Good idea / bad idea?

ye good idea, some one make it a "sticky" and we can put detailed info on this as to how to upload avatars etc etc...

If the sig is too big / takes too long to load it can be changed...

OK - must i write a brief tutorial thing covering the basics of avatars and sigs? With regard to uploading hosting etc. - then you guys give me feedback and suggestions?

Nice work wit-skapie! Your idea is good, maybe the mods here should combine all the previous threads from "chillout", there are many of them and they contain all the answers as to Avi and Sig sizes!

Sounds good! :biggrin:

We could even get some of the image creation guru's Leigh, Retro_X, Psycho_Critter, Fluff_King, Envinyatar etc*. to make some nice advanced tutorials on creating "fly" avatars with round edges etc.

* There are a lot more gurus but i can't remember any other names right now

Envi rounded the corners and touched up my Avi. Add him in here, he also did a fine job on his company's web site!

OK - How about you write a brief tutorial on how to create text in an avvie - like yours that says "Bio-Hazard" with the nice glowing effects? In other words write one about different ways of adding cool and funky text to a avvie?

You can write down what you did to create an avvie for Anakha

This is especially needed since some avvies get copied 8O

i drew the text freehand and took pix of it with a camera, created a 3d image from that and then i just used Bryce for as far as the pc is concerned.

Ok, That's why I want Anakha56 to request something specific. As soon as I got that I will create it with the tutorial.

Well my nick means one without destiny so something along those lines, but im also into dragons, they are my fav mythical creatures, and I dont mean those disney kiddy ones I mean the ones with pride and strength. If you need more let me know.
