Seeing as you are still busy with Monty's avi and sig, I think it is OK to change what I want.

The avi I want is good.
But the sig...
Would you rather mix a picture of a horse with a knight on it, and a pic with a dragon firing a ball of something out of it's mouth.
That would be cool.
And for the writing, can you rather put "Knight of the Round Table" and "Hometown Hero" on it.

The avi is cool, but Just to know, would it be possible to change this
http://web.tiscali.it/fedestory/avatarzell.gif
into a 16kb avi??? With the guys permission of course.

Hey Narkath, sun_walka here, member of the knights of the round table, and very pleased to meet you.

I have studied your work (that's scattered thoughout this thread and others) extensively, and I have only one thing to say about all of it....wow. :)

I am sorry to inconvinience you in any way by requesting this if I have, but could you please make me a signature for the usergroup ( "Knights of the round table") which I've joined as well?

I'm terribly busy at the moment (exams are here thnx to the fact that it's nearly the end of the semester) and can't get to doing my own siggie, so I thought I'd ask you, if you're not to busy...I'd really appreaciate it. :)

I myself just let someone down who approached me asking me to do a sig for them, so I'm really pressed as you can see.

I will accept any verdict which you pass.

Yours sincerely,

sun_walka.

Edit: oops, I forgot what to ask for.

Well, could you pliz make it have a chrome background, so it can go with my old avie (I don't wanna change that) and add a sword stuck in a rock in the middle of it with the words above it "Knight of the Round Table"? Thnx. ;)

Sorry :(

*Off to change title of sig*

Dang, oh well, thnx anyways dude, Kher-Zha already made me an ava, I guess I'll just pop "Member of the knights of the Round table" under my siggie and use his avie, no worries. ;)

Ps: *whispers*

I'll just say to the other knights that chrome symbolizes my armour glitter. :)

it was just a quick thing and it doesn't fit in with the knights profile unless you want to be a futuristic knight from 2500AD. if you want a knight sig+av then you are going to have to wait.

Yeah, it's cool, I'll wait as long as is necessary, but somehow I want to actually keep this current look, I'll just tell the others that I'm a mech knight and I'll pop "Knight of the Round Table" in at the bottom of my sig so that they think of me as a knight. :)

Actually, I have just fallen in luv :) I have always loved the way those incredible robots can be sooo gentle... and who said that we are only consentrating on the "ancient" ? this is fantasy ....
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

Look guys see what you did, you broke Narkath! lol

Narkath, maybe start charging for them?

Anyway, I know many will disagree with me on this (not something new), but I feel forum posters should maybe attempt making their own signatures or even get a friend to help them make one. Yes I realise great graphic design programs are expensive and difficult to come by, but there are free/inexpensive ones out there. Even though the sigs won't be any where as great as Narkath (as well as the likes of Retro_X, SybraGrey, Disruptor and Leigh, etc..) could do, but at least you know you made it and it's something to be proud of and work at as it's something personal. Just an idea, my 2 cents, anyway.

Having said this I think a "round of applause" should go to Narkath for all the amazing signatures and avatars he has produced, and the ones he might do sometime later.

I agree with you on one thing Neon: Narkath made works of art.
BUT, you know well that I cannot make an avatar. Those like your brother who know computers well, know how to make good avis and sigs.
But all I know is Paint, and I am sure that most other people are the same.
As making a friend do it, HeXie promised me, but he is SOOOO busy, as are many other people.
Other forums have Avatar Shops (you don't actually BUY them), and I don't see why this forum shouldn't have people like Narkath too.
But anyways. Enjoy your retirement Narkath.

Same here Rid1... Fun to try and do some yourself but when it comes to downsizing it it becomes a bit sad...

Well great for those forums. I only had Paint as well (remembering the days), but as long as you have an internet connection, a little dedication and oh bunch of free time (ie. varsity holidays/leave time for work) you can make your very own personal masterpiece, but wait there's more, act now and you will receive, at no additional cost a handy dandy blade sharpener, yours absolutely free if you call within the next 1/2 hour....

I has been broked! LOL

Thank you, thank you, one and all...for the praise, for the encouragement. :)

If it is possible, someone should put up a sticky tutorial on making an avatar and sig using free programs like The GIMP and painter.
With pointers like, "The key to making a good avatar and sig, besides finding/making the right picture, is a good initial crop/positioning!" and, "Don't underestimate a good border" and, "make sure you don't resize to hell and gone."

Well then the sticky should be in the form of links to tutorials. Along with links to pictures, resources, and official software home pages. (people are too lazy to google)
We could add our own tips and tricks as well.

Felt creative and decided to tackle monty's one.
Part of my new Clear-Edge range...Range, meaning I might use the same border (minus the swords) in the other sigs/avs when I do get to them.
Note:
The avatar will look tranparent when in placed well, where avatars should be placed.
