CD Writer ???

Post by V-Man »

I am using Win 98 SE but sometimes after I used my Samsung CD-R it keeps the label of the last used cd. When I insert another cd in the drive it does not give me access to the drive. I then have to restart to sort it out. It does not always do it.

do you have the same problem sometimes with stiffy disks ??

if you do it´s a registry problem with w98se and reinstalling is the only way out ,,if it only happens with your cdr thenas cameron says try getting a newer driver for it .....

I have a similar problem, but with my cd-rom and Aopen Cd-write, but it is because autorun is disabled. Nero disables autorun, because it says that it could cause problems in the burn process. Before autorun is disabled it works fine. If you bring up the properties of the drive, (right-click and select properties) does the right name appear there?

check that "insert notification" is enabled in the properties tab of your current hardware...

if all else fails, listen to cameron and get new drivers (not that it can help much for cd-r/rw´s...) as well as aspi updates.
