I got this error in 3DMark2001 SE

LOL, i used to have that as a desktop as well....

But seriously, why dont you post the contents of the mentioned text file, that might be of some use.... :wink:

what version of direct x do you have loaded - since if you have directx 9 you need a patch to be able to run the tests - and that seems to be a direct x error - to check that go to start->run and type in dxdiag and click on ok - check all your direct x details - 3dmark 2001se runs best with directx 8.1

it nevertheless runs with directx 9 if you download and install the patch found at futuremark

also you could be overclocking the cpu to an unstable setting - maybe you need more cooling - try running with MBM 5 open and see what temps you hit while the test is running - or if you are overclocking then cut your fsb down a notch and rerun


plus you shouldnt be running 3dmark while connected to the net or even while doing anything else - since you are splitting your system resources while running the bench and it will surely affect your score
