well a stock image is like that one that I34z1k showed from dA or like the original image he had of the one in his sig...

in other words it's an unedited image... a photo that someone took or a handdrawn image are perfect examples of this...

wallpapers are not stocks imo since they are edited by adding bg's or effects or brushes...

Lol. Ok. Big hint here. SCREW THE CHEAP bottom LOOKING filters :p Is there a bevel? Just keep your fonts simple when you start off, usually that looks best. I will email the fonts I still have (formatted yesterday). PM me ur addy.

Wish everyone would just have 512 Uncapped so that they can increase the damn sig/avvie sizes...

Heh, I have a neat trick:
[1] Get Irfanview, an awesome image viewer, from one of these links.
[2] Then create the avatar or signature and save as a level 12 (Highest) quality jpeg.
[3] Open the ava/sig you just saved with Irfanview and batch convert it with all the settings high too.
*And there you have the same image, same quality (in looks) but lower file size
