What kind of performance increase can I expect ( upgrading t

Post by OnlyOneKenobi »

My parents will be going to the USA shortly, and I made sure that they bring me back a Geforce 4Ti 4200.

Current PC Specs :

AMD Duron 1.2Ghz
256Mb DDR RAM
Geforce 2MX 400 64Mb DDR RAM

I use a utility called Rivatuner to overclock my Graphics card a bit and end up with a 3DMark 2001 score of about 2800-3000 on a good day.

What kind of score can I expect using a Geforce 4Ti 4200 on my system? Double? Triple even, maybe?

I might also be upgrading my processor to an Athlon XP 1700 +, will the processor upgrade be worth it? Apparently the XP 1700 outperforms the P4 2Ghz at some things.
