I'd advise everyone to have a more detailed read but what it comes down to is:
PS4
8GB GDDR5
8 core jaguar AMD APU @1.6ghz with radeon 7870 graphics
Xbone
8GB DDR3
8 core jaguar AMD APU @1.6ghz with radeon 7790 graphics
The data comparison is rather large but that is it.

the depressing bit is the solid core of tjops out there going "but, it's a good deal!"...
<tjop saying "it's a good deal" will be here in 5....4....3...>

Well getting a free game here and there is a good deal if your going to pay for the service. It blows that you have to pay for multiplayer but that is what happens when you let the developer/publisher take that server costs from the privatized hosts.
I've been a PSN+ subscriber for 2 years now anyway and in both cases I've already recouped the costs within a month of using it. From discounts ranging between 10-50% on some games, extra backgrounds, avatars, ect it really isn't that bad a deal.
Now for part that makes it look like a bad deal. Steam.
