Yes. Specifically, I want to troll the people who are defending the iP5, but are not willing to part with money for it. I want to troll them by pointing out their hypocrisy.

Did I say performance looks "better"? No, because obviously it is. It's much better, and a worthwhile upgrade for me.

Just in case you weren’t sure: today is Monday, launch is on Friday. That’s four sleeps, on the street, just to get an iPhone before everyone else.

I just want to know what these people do for a living that they can que for 5 days, and STILL be able to afford a new phone?

Also... how can a device hold so much power over their lives that they MUST have one at launch?

Its not that odd to see people stack however its odd to see this kind of quantity. Personally I just use the internet and pre-order then rock up and collect my stuff then disappear into my dungeon again. The Cape Gate Makro opening day was horrible and the specials weren't exactly mind blowing.

Btw whats different from the iphone 5 and 4 ...and any that came before it? Thinking of hacking my Vita to use it as a phone but that would make me look like a nob with its nobs in my noggen.

I just don't understand the "MUST HAVE NOW!" mentality. Someone needs to walk through the cue and slap each and every individual in it. Hard.

I'm actually more a victim of that than I want to be. I got pretty upset on the Cataclysm and Black Ops release dates when my games arrived 6pm and 2pm. Think it had more to do with the delivery are usually before 12 and those days didnt make it.

Yes.. but you didn't camp out in front of a store for 5 freakin days waiting to be the first one to get the games!

Did they have to make some sort of call that could only be done from the new iPhone? Was their family being held hostage, and the kidnappers demanding the new iPhone as ransom? Do they have a disease that only the new iPhone can cure?

Engadget has a good review...

http://www.engadget.com/2012/09/18/appl ... -5-review/

Last two paragraphs sum it up nicely, and I agree the OS is starting to feel a little dated which is my only real gripe...
The iPhone 5 is a significant improvement over the iPhone 4S in nearly every regard, and in those areas that didn't see an upgrade over its predecessor -- camera, storage capacity -- one could make a strong case that the iPhone 4S was already ahead of the curve. Every area, that is, except for the OS. If anything, it's the operating system here that's beginning to feel a bit dated and beginning to show its age.

Still, the iPhone 5 absolutely shines. Pick your benchmark and you'll find Apple's thin new weapon sitting at or near the top. Will it convince you to give up your Android or Windows Phone ways and join the iOS side? Maybe, maybe not. Will it wow you? Hold it in your hand -- you might be surprised. For the iOS faithful this is a no-brainer upgrade. This is without a doubt the best iPhone yet. This is a hallmark of design. This is the one you've been waiting for.
