MS Natural Keyboard and xonar problem

Since we all have issues and I can't simply take it back like a console

My xonar sound card has been giving some issues on start up. Same goes for my MS natural keyboard.

What would happen is on start up my keyboard would not work. After a restart the issue is usually fixed or plugging out the keyboard and plugging it back in also fixes this.

Same problem on my xonar. My pc would start up and the left and right front speakers would not play back sound. This is only solvable by restarting my pc.

I have 4 devices connected to my usb ports on start up. An Xbox controller dongle, my MS Natural keyboard, my Razor Imperator mouse and a Logitech clear chat pro headset.

This has been happening since before the headset and xbox dongle became part of my system. Any advise?

Get a cheap keyboard and see if the problem persists. If it doesn't you could test the keyboard on a different machine, if the problem persists the kb is dying.

As for the sound issues, it could be driver or audio stack related even possibly hardware. Booting a different os from a different partition could give more clarity. If the problem persists it's hardware, if the problem goes away it's software.

It will take a month of testing. It happens once or up to 3 times a week.

My Razer Habu mouse does not switch on when the PC boots for the first time. Have to unplug & plug back in again to get it working. Stopped looking for a fix however one site mentioned that it could be the ago of the mouse causing problems. Have decided to buy myself the Diablo 3 mouse from SteelSeries instead.
