Hi all
I have an old ecs mobo socket 775. my multiplyer is 12.5 and trying to get it to 3ghz.windows 7 only displays the cpu as 2.5ghz(stock) but my rating jumped from 6.1 to 6.4.. Why is windows 7 only picking the stock speed up?

Correct me if I am wrong, but Windows Only shows which processor you have in there (and therefore its stock speed), not the speed at which it is overclocked. You'd have to check the bios or download an app to see the overclocked speed.

If you have the ECS mobo I think you have I would not bother with OC'ing. But win 7 should tell you the current clock speed. should be saying something like this: "Intel(R) Pentium(R) @3.0ghz 2.5ghz" or that last bit will be the other way round but that is what it should show you.
