In all honesty it doesn't. It feels like I am playing what Diablo 3 should have been and now what I would have liked Torchlight 2 to be. The Diablo roots comes across much more strongly than Blizzards games. I've only made it to act 2 so far and I am near lvl30 on my ember mage. Again to compare to Diablo 2 that would have been act 4 either started or finished. But difficulty is selectable at the start of your game with your character in TL2 (suggest veteran for a balanced challenge) and then creating a game plus after you beat the game.

I could ask for more but the game is very well polished. It is hard to know what exactly more I want from the game.
