Hi Guys and Gals,
Recently my PC has started taking up to two minutes to begin the POST process.
I am no expert on Tech support so i turn to you guys hoping you can lead me in the right direction.
I have removed the graphics card and the hard drives and even the ram to try and get the PC to start "POSTing" like it used too. still have to wait. So i am sure its either the PSU, the motherboard, or the CPU.
I hope that it will just be the PSU as i am short on budget but for now at least my pc does start up after some time.
Thanks for any help in advance.

Re: PC Long boot (PSU or CPU and Motherboard)
Does the PC consistently take 2 minutes to begin the post? It could be some faulty capacitors on the motherboard or in the PSU so just make sure non of the capacitors are bulging. I also had a problem like this once which was cased by a dying CMOS battery, maybe try replacing that
//I will do some more searching to try and find some proper solutions.

PSU's have no relation to the BIOS start up sequence other than suppling power. If the power delivery isn't right it won't boot at all.
Did you make any changes in the BIOS prior to the issue starting?

You could try flashing the bios or resetting it if you have not done so already.

Nowadays with all the included tools it is really rather simple to flash the bios. There should be some instructions in the manual telling you how to do this. Your motherboard should have EZ Flash2 which is a bios flashing utility, here is how to use it
