Wow, makes me glad I stopped playing this game... Its like you are downloading a whole new game there ADT . But meh lost interest in BF3 when they announced their pay option... :/ Copying Activision is now getting old... :/

EA confirms the existence of Battlefield 3 'Premium' service

EA is planning to launch a “Premium” service for Battlefield 3 that’s sounding a lot like what Activision did with their Elite service in Modern Warfare 3. News of the membership came to light via a leaked fact sheet out of Germany but don’t brush this aside as another baseless rumor; EA has confirmed that Battlefield Premium will be announced on June 4.

The one-time fee of $50 will grant players access to the five released expansion packs as well as two weeks early access to future packs and the ability to reset stats. There’s also another member perk that Joystiq describes as “pretty gross.”

According to the leaked document, premium members will get queue priority into servers. That’s right, if you pay $50 you essentially get to skip the line when trying to join a game. Meanwhile everyone else is pushed further down the queue list. It will be interesting to see how this plays out – depending on how many gamers sign up for the premium service, this could either be a non-issue or potentially generate lot of hatred from Joe Gamer.

The idea of bundling all of the expansion packs into a single purchase actually saves gamers a bit of money in the long run. The model has proven successful with the Call of Duty franchise as it has amassed 2 million paying subscribers.

EA has confirmed the existence of the Premium service on Twitter and says that users should check out Battlefield.com on June 4 for more info. This date just happens to coincide with the company’s E3 press conference so there’s a possibility that they could launch the service on the same day.

BTW To all those downloading the patch you better hope like anything your HDD does not die because you cannot make a backup copy of the install folder and use that . One more reason why I prefer Steam over Origin...

Never worked for me. Always wanted me to reinstall the friggin game which meant download the whole thing from the Interwebs. But meh I am over it, I have only one Origin game installed and its only because I am waiting for the expansion pack. BF3 was uninstalled a long, long time ago...

What I did was replace my game files with his. Then I ran a repair install after which all as well and the game was fully up to date

But when installing BF3 I found that if you were connected to the internet it wanted to download the games flies from there and not from the disk

I love the noob cannon. very effective in the passageway of "grand bazaar" and I recently got the motor so now I can sit far away and blow the enemy away

so far I'm loving that automatic shotgun , just getting OWND a lot by tanks, planes etc

yep the tanks. And the jets how do they do that, I have tried and I can never hit anybody

i tried, but those jets aren't too easy to maneuver

Even if I do that I don't get anyone......the jets are difficult to fly, but I was once good with helicopters back in Battlefield Vietnam so maybe I must try those again

OH LOL, i never check the score, too focused

it shows ping too...mine is always around 140ms

but that's exactly the thing is show's everyone Else's ping except by mine is just a -

that's why i asked about about, ctrl+alt+s, cause it shows me FPS and IGO, just not sure if it's accurate
