i suspect sturat is using some plugin designed for "safe" browsing and it's messing with the cookie store.. flush cookies and see if it rears its head again...

The only errors I have been getting lately, well they are not quite errors are problems with facebook. Often extremely slow and the chat thing just dies.

When it happens it happens across multiple browsers. I tried anyway, and it didn't work. I'm trying to think whether I've ever had the issue at home. I have the same intermittent (maybe one every 3rd week) problem.
Flushing my proxy cache fixes it.
