Man, I've got some clumsy friends. I'm not going to bother with the details, so long story short - this iPad fell off the back of one car, and then got run over by another. I don't know about you guys, but this looks pretty good for something that got run over by a car.
So, judging by the nature of the damage, I suspect that the iPad was face down when this happened. I doubt it would've survived if it were face up when the car went over it. It's got some nasty damage to the outside of the case. Nothing too bad, but nasty:
What's awesome is that it still works! The touch interface still works perfectly. Well done Apple, I'm impressed!

Ouch! It breaks my heart seeing such beauty in such bad shape! Amazing that it still works! So Dae how do you go about fixing it? Does apple sell the shell seperately and you just have to replace it or is it a bit more complicated?

I don't even bother trying to get the parts from Apple, as they won't sell them to an end user like myself. Sending the iPad to a repair center is also out of the question because they charge stupid amounts of money for something that's fixed quite easily. So I import the parts myself, usually from places like Honk Kong, China, Taiwan, etc. I have a supplier in Hong Kong that I'll be getting these iPad parts from. When the parts arrive, I'll do the repair myself I save my friends lots of money this way, which is greatSlimshaedy wrote:So Dae how do you go about fixing it?
