Outlook 2010 stealing focus

Post by StarPhoenix »

My boss has asked me to try to solve a problem he is having with Outlook 2010:

Whenever he drags an item from his inbox or contacts folder, the "Add item to calender" dialogue box appears for a fraction of a second only to be usurped by the main Outlook windows. To get back to the calendar box, he has to minimise Outlook.

He wants to know whether there is anything he can do to prevent Outlook from doing this? Is there a patch he can install?

Thanks

Maybe. He thinks that it is a programme error and that he should be able to work on the calendar dialogue box as it comes up and not be required to flip through umpteen windows to find it.

Tell him "NO" and save yourself endless hassles.

I will look into it for you. Not had that problem myself though. Perhaps rather than dragging it to the calendar use the Copy to Folder feature. That doesn't have that problem. Don't use the move to calendar as you lose the email then.
