Re: Firefox 4
Some blame should also fall on Mozilla surely. As I've mentioned before in this thread, they need to do a backwards compatibility mode for add ons

Re: Firefox 4
I hung up my FF4 hat today.
The issue FF4 has with Adobe flash has driven me close to maddness.
Doesn't appear to affect many FF users but it has affected me and I can no longer handle the browser crashes.
IE9 works much smoother for me.. a sad day it is..

Re: Firefox 4
I am not sure if it is an FF issue. My chrome has been having major issues with Flash for about a month now.

Re: Firefox 4
I've switched to chrome months ago because of flash. No problems on chrome. Couldn't take it anymore. FF won't see me again.
Re: Firefox 4
Yup, gotta say IE9 works fine with the latest flash.
I have been reading that the latest Adobe flash versions (since 10.2 onwards) have been giving all the browser developers headaches, but appears IE, Chrome (and Opera?) have ironed the issues out. Firefox, for me at least, has utterly failed.

Re: Firefox 4
I've also been experiencing painful Flash problems since FF4.
Even though it's not really a FF problem, I am really starting to dislike FF.

Re: Firefox 4
Someone mentioned something about being taken to the French Firefox page earlier in the thread. What's up with that? Just upgraded to 4.0.1 and after the restart it took me to http://www.mozilla.com/en-ZA/firefox/4.0.1/whatsnew/.
Notice the "en-ZA" part, but if you follow the link everything is French. Do South Africans swear more than the rest of the world?

FF4 horror story:
This morning I powered on my PC and as windows was logging in Adobe asked me if I want to update to the latest flash player. I clicked yes and it updated me to exactly the same version I had before.

Re: Firefox 4
Hi, Cant remember if this was discussed - what is the work around having the url bar separate from the search bar?
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.

I have no flash problems with FF4
no crashes or anything. Up until I read this, I was unaware of any flash problems anywhere

Re: Firefox 4
okay I know this is a PC thread, but here is another nail in the coffin for FF. On MacBook Pros, it causes it to switch from integrated to dedicated graphics, reducing battery life considerably. Very annoying!

Re: Firefox 4
I reinstalled windows and thought to give Chrome a try seeing as the problems with FF4. I am now downloading FF4 again because it has so much more luxuries than Chrome. With that said I'm still not pleased with FF.

Re: Firefox 4
I haven't had any problems with Flash and Firefox. And you'd be surprised how many add-ons still work in Firefox 4 even though they're marked as not compatible. Ubiquity, I'm looking at you! (It just took a quick edit of a file in the xpi archive to get it to install. LITERALLY telling the xpi that it is compatible for all versions up to 99.* - I made it 99.* because didn't feel like editing the xpi again when I fire up Minefield/Firefox 5.

I too have had no problems. Those of you that are having problems - what exactly are you looking at in your browsers?
I am loving 4 and I don't miss anything that I had to leave behind. Thought I would - but I don't.

Nope - I am not a beta tester - I like stable.
