MS office stand alone products

so i just picked up a copy of MS Access 2003 stand alone (or what i was told was stand alone)

the disc has the following info on it : "Not for retail or OEM distribution"; "Unlicensed software-Illegal without separate license from Microsoft". under this is says "Version 2003" - this is not part of the previous sentence.

What i want to know is can this be used with version 2010, which is what i am currently running, or must i use it with a version of 2003.

I have read the entire EULA, but there is nothing there that says it must be used with office SW version 2003.

As far as I know you can use it with any version. Just remember that some of the new functions (add-ins from Outlook) won't work as it does require Access 2010. The new Access has the ability to send forms via Outlook for data collection. This will not be possible with the old version. But other than that it works perfectly. In some companies I still run the combination you mention, but we are slowly upgrading all the databases to either 2007 or 2010. The new features are just too cool not to.
