Now I just need to figure out how I will pass this through the finance department. How do I explain the need for litres and litres of mineral oil?

Thanx Jelly :) ... ah for now i am pretty happy with a very moderate overclock to 3.4 Ghz ... no need to push it up now and the Zalman does its job well ... never goes higher than 55 Degrees on max load when i run Prime95 and idles around the low 30s

+1 man - overclocking getting silent these days - maybe common sense has suddenly hit people - you know, the one that says stop, thats fast enough

Common sense is the reason my home PC runs at stock speeds with 4GB of generic RAM.

Common sense and the fact that overclocking, whilst offering impressive benchmark improvements, often does very little to improve real world performance. Solitaire really doesn't run that much smoother when I overclock my i7.
