Now I just need to figure out how I will pass this through the finance department. How do I explain the need for litres and litres of mineral oil?

Common sense is the reason my home PC runs at stock speeds with 4GB of generic RAM.Smilodon111 wrote:+1 man - overclocking getting silent these days - maybe common sense has suddenly hit people - you know, the one that says stop, thats fast enoughThe_Jelly wrote:thats awesome bro... if u think of overclocking further open a thread in the oc section and let us follow ur progress.... is it me or is the oc section like really dead? don't people overclock anymore? or want advice on it.....? i see the same threads there everytime i go in....

Re: Post your Rig!
Common sense and the fact that overclocking, whilst offering impressive benchmark improvements, often does very little to improve real world performance. Solitaire really doesn't run that much smoother when I overclock my i7.Smilodon111 wrote:+1 man - overclocking getting silent these days - maybe common sense has suddenly hit people - you know, the one that says stop, thats fast enoughThe_Jelly wrote:thats awesome bro... if u think of overclocking further open a thread in the oc section and let us follow ur progress.... is it me or is the oc section like really dead? don't people overclock anymore? or want advice on it.....? i see the same threads there everytime i go in....

on idle it is between 39C and 42C (that is on a 3,6Ghz clock), and when really pushing it, it peaks at about 58C
