The man behind Minecraft, Markus Persson, is planning on founding his own studio after the surprise financial success of Minecraft which is still in its alpha stages. Persson has recently turned down offers from both Bungie and Valve after the tiny game hit near-on 300 000 online sales

Good on him to not just accept these first offers from the Gaming Gestapo.

Yeah good for him... I hope however that he does not hog it, if he does not intend to take it FAR.
I think this game (Although so awesome already) Has soooo much potential to go from here... i mean different dimensions blocks, even more things to build... I think of what you can do with Carpets more furniture... Decorations... My castle feels rather bland at the moment.
You could also mix in a little bit of an RTS element, that you can maybe train workers to do your farming, and mining... Well you continue to build and explore
Lastly obviously a Graphics boost over time... I mean... I can only see expansion from here
