Hi all,
I'm hoping someone with more knowledge of Windows can help me here.
I have a 64 bit Windows Ultimate installation and 4gig of ram, in the screenshot below you sill see that windows is telling me only 2.99gigs are usable, any idea why this is the case? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards

Re: RAM issues with Windows 7
Jump into your BIOS and enable "Memory Remap". It could also be written as "REMAP MEMOR". That should solve your problem

Re: RAM issues with Windows 7
Thanks Ett, just checked and its enabled already.
Underneath where its enabled it says: PCI MMIO Allocation: 4GB to 3072B
So I'm guessing its a setting in the BOIS thatneeds changeing, do you know what it is?
Thx

What graphics card do you have? Maybe it is using some of your memory.

What happens if you disable memory remap?Knuckles wrote:Thanks Ett, just checked and its enabled already.

Check the advanced boot options.

2. System Configuration window will open on the screen.
3. Click on tab named "boot".
4. Click on "Advanced Options" and uncheck the box for "Maximum Memory".
