Most likely a driver issue - try reinstalling or updating to latest version.

Loose connection in your speaker's wiring?

^^ Oh yeah, forgot about that possibility, definitely also possible.

Mike_J.M - it may help in future if you're more descriptive about the problem. (Read link in sig.)

By that do you mean it's not just you who hears these glitches, or it's not just you having these problems?

What make/model sound card do you have and are the drivers Win 7 x64 certified?

The same thing happens to me on x64 Ultimate. Funny enough it works fine when my headphones are plugged into the front MIC port, but if I plug them in the rear socket it plays fine on both speakers and then during a game it will slowly fade to only one ear and then sometimes come right again. Definitely sounds like a driver issue, but I haven't managed to narrow it down yet...

Its a windows 7 issue. I have the problem that my left side sounds completely disappear and it intervals just suddenly work. It is by all accounts frustrating as hell. Driver update/outdate doesnt work. Onboard/dedicated sound doesnt change a thing. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the speaker system. I checked connections, swopping plugs does allow to play the speaker tests thru the "dead" speakers.

The one guy I play wow with told me he found the solution: Dont use windows 7.
