I was bored these last couple of days at work. Once you start getting bored, you go into this slum that causes you to ignore ALL the things you could do... Luckily for me, I managed to get out of this.
I got Sketchup and a couple of models and made a drawing. I don't know if I'll even get around to building it but I am pretty sure its got some potential...

The underside ports would be a mission to access in my opinion. Looks sweet otherwise

If modding wasn't a challenge, everyone would do it...Prime wrote:The underside ports would be a mission to access in my opinion. Looks sweet otherwise

If any of you know where I can find a right angle DVI adapter or cable (a really cheap one...), I would appreciate it very much.

It's not exactly what you want, but if your screen supports HDMI:

(1 of each will set you back $5.07 in total with free shipping, and if you want to throw in a second converter, it will set you back $7.84)

Re: When boredom strikes...
I have seen that some graphics cards are coming out with HDMI but I'll need a DVI adapter for it to work on my screen. But for this mod it would be all new hardware in anyway. So I might just get a card with the HDMI output and hook that to the screen. Only time will tell.
I'm not sure what I should make the side panels out of. Steel or Alu? Painting steel would be cheaper than Aluminium but working with Aluminium would be WAY easier. Steel would be cheaper than Alu. as well.
I think the bigger issue is attaching the internals to the chassis without ANY screws or bolts showing. But I'll figure something out.
