Someone call me. Give me a missed call, I wont answer. You've got my number hey Ryan? I want to see who the text comes from. Thanks dude

Breakthrough! Evidently this is quite a common issue. It's known technically as the Mistaken Text Notification error, aka, MTN. There is a solution, but you're not going to like it.

LOL, I just realised that I need a voicemail message, not a missed call Thanks anyway!ryanrich wrote:K just gave you a missed call...
Okay, so I just got a voicemail message, now it's from that girl again. Seems the message from my dog was a once off thing.
Man, that's weird.

The one thing I like about MTN is the ring sound it makes when you call someone on their network...
Re: How weird is this?! (Update!)
You have to do something called a Voluntary Omission of Data And Call Origination Migration, aka VODACOM.DAE_JA_VOO wrote:Go ahead?Stuart wrote:Breakthrough! Evidently this is quite a common issue. Re: How weird is this?! (Update!)
So for the last week or so, at exactly 9:07 each night, I get a notification on my BB from Bookface that a certain friend has posted a birthday message on my wall. The date stamp (as stated on the message I receive on my BB) is 7 September 2009. Of course, when I go to Bookface there is no such message awaiting me.

Hahahaha!
By the way, my problem went away when I rooted and flashed my phone
Also, I actually saw the girl in question on Wednesday. It was weird.

reboot your phone?
deactivate bf mobile and re activate?
Re: How weird is this?! (Update!)
I should probably try that. Haven't reboot for months now.
Re: How weird is this?! (Update!)
yeah, sometimes phones do funny things when they havent been rebooted...
i tend to reboot at least once a week on both my 6120 classic and my e63.

Re: How weird is this?! (Update!)
My Win phones were always rebooted, but the BB never slows down.

It is easy to reboot it. After getting those nasty push emails - I always need to reboot.
