NVidia driver installation error

Hi Guys

I just recently bought the GT240. I have downloaded the updated driver off Nvidias website for the second time now. When i open it up and it starts to to the extraction wizard i get 7-zip data error. The file size of the driver is 89.5MB I cant seem to get it to extract/install. Even if i right click the file and extract it with winrar i get the same error.

I ran a windows update check and there is an update for my gt240 through microsoft which is 105MB.
Will this driver be ok?

I am running windows 7 32bit and did download the correct version off Nvidia's website

Have you tried re-downloading the file?

Yes, the Windows Update one will do the job, but I reckon it's not as good as the driver pulled from nVidia's site.

the "correct" version isn't zipped... at least, none that i've grabbed have been...

<edit>just checked... it's supposed to be an executable....

This happened to me when I installed nvidia drivers for the first time. It worked after I installed all of the available windows updates. Hope that helps.
