some still getting quite bad lag/stuttering issues even after the latest 8mb patch was supposed to solve it or at least make it bit better.

there might be a patch though this weekend so will have to see.

I though haven't had much troubles and quite enjoy it.

I do though hate this quick ranking up, though that was in COD4 as well.

You rank quick so you can move over to prestige though. Gonna go prestige when I hit 50. I am a week behind though :P

They released updates to the game over the past 2 weeks. I only know of 2 updates. The first was the game launch and the 2nd was suppose to fix graphics and load issues. Still have problems with migrations though.

Perhaps somebody here can assist me, I'm trying to play Black Ops Zombie co-op over LAN..

Is it even possible?

Googling seem's to turn up mixed answers and opinions although I'm leaning to the fact that it can't be done on PC (At least currently anyway)

I purchased the BO Rezzurection DLC awhile back and seem to remember thinking at the time that the DLC pack allowed for Zombie Co op via LAN rather than online like the original BO only allowed for. Am I correct that the DLC allows it?

I've also heard that it IS possible however both machines on the LAN require an internet connection. True?

Tired of searching on my own now, perhaps someone out there has the information I need.

Cheers!

Edit: I forgot to mention both the machines have original steam copy's of the game, one machine having the Rez DLC. Both games are being played in offline mode.

The answer is no.

If you have a PS3 or Xbox 360 you can LAN. However for PC everything needs to go thru steam. Even if you are connected to the internet on a LAN all data will be sent over the internet meaning you will get the latency between you and the isp and back.

And this is why I wont be bothering with Call of duty, besides that fact that this game will almost certainly be exactly the same as everything since cod WAW.

I'd still recommend CoD4. Problem is I am played out in that game. Was waiting for the next one which ended up being worse so the 1 year time turned into 2 and 2 turned into 3 which ruined the game thanks to over exposure.

I do still like Cod4. But everything after that feels like a half baked "lets just rename cod4" money making attempt....and the steam DRM does not help either
