0.facebook.com - no data charges apply - MTN Only

Just saw the message on my FB sidebar, seems MTN is getting jiggy with Facebook !
According to ad, you wont pay data charges when using MTn to connect to the 0.facebook.com site !

Oh, and no, it doesnt work in sa. (at least not yet. Mtn users try just opening 0.facebook.com - it only works for those providers who are part of it)

and the internet on a BB is far from free. you do have to pay for it and you can't use that "free" internet for anything else but using your BB. Forget tethering because you will be charged.

I'd wager that SA has the largest facebook users of all those countries combined (Benin, Cote d'Ivorie, Guinea Bissau, Rwanda, Swaziland and Uganda. And coming soon to Cameroon and Guinea Conakry), which might explain why the MTN sheisters have excluded us...

HUH? I have had it since Jan and not paid a cent for the internet. I am on an MTN contract and I get free internet. Absolutely. Now if I wanted to dl stuff not related to my BB - I would probably be charged. But even my push content is free. I have ADSL - I dl there.
