Re: BFBC2 - Online
How much 'botting' and cheating do you guys think is happening in BFBC2 online?
I've noticed some days you're having a good game, and some days a bad game, BUT, consistently when playing on a public server, be is WAGE or SGS etc, when certain clans have people on (so far [Synergy] and [NSD] stands out the most), a lot of the time, the squad is locked, and they run on something like 15/2 stats.. It's almost to the point that you have to RPG the person in the face or else they just don't die, and they snipe you with a shotgun from 200m and get a headshot, while you're running...through bushes etc, while jumping...
Is it happening, or are these kids really just that good?

I see people regularly kicked for cheating or using hacks.zimmer-frame wrote:How much 'botting' and cheating do you guys think is happening in BFBC2 online?

But yes, I've seen some insane kills. Especially guys with a shotgun. Shooting me from the other side of the map with it.
Just yesterday I had to shoot a guy in the head 3 times with a M95 before he died. Now tell me that he's not using some form of hacking? Oh, and it was at point blank range. I think he was making coffee or something.
It's actually easy to run with 15/2 stats. As a sniper....
But any other class I think you have to be really really good, or cheating.

Re: BFBC2 - Online
no those 2 clans are really good.
shotgun sniping isn't that hard, on HC servers.
note they are running as squads so they also most likely on TS which improves gameplay tremendously.
yeah BC's net code is just that bad that one round I could snipe a guy a million miles away, but the next round I have trouble with a guy right in front of me.
not to mention the thing that is p*ssing me off the most atm, is the fact that when I am next to an object like rocks, I can't snipe a guy even if I have a clear view of him.
not to mention shooting at okes in bushes or on the trees.
my other enemy is also the fact that on most maps I can't see stuff all, yet other players seem to have the clearest view and can sniper you with any gun.

Re: BFBC2 - Online
I take personal pride in hunting down and knifing any sniper that gets me.. I hate snipers.. I do see guys getting banned / kicked for exploits, but that just makes me believe, that in BFBC2, like any other game, for every cheat / bot / exploit that is known, there are many that are not known, and if you're in the right circles, you will have access to it.

I also hated them until I started playing as one.
But I got bored with sniping now. Busy unlocking all the goodies as Engineer.

lol, yeah I also enjoy sniping.
but lately, on a certain server, enjoy just fooling around.
I try to not always get upset but, sadly on this server base raping is allowed

I was busy emptying a clip into a enemy, this guy strolls into my line of fire and the result was that he died. So then he starts flaming me for killing him. I was like, dude.... you walked right in front of me! That is why I play overseas more.
I play for fun, so if I end up with 1 kill and 20 deaths, so what. But one thing I do HATE is base rapers. At least give me a chance to spawn and to get into a position to challenge you.

Re: BFBC2 - Online
I've got all the goodies on sniper, and gold stars in almost all the weapons except one of the "Snipershyacan'tpronounce" things.. I just don't enjoy the play style.
Anti-tank, or medic!! Medic is always welcome when your whole squad is attacking and you can keep them alive with revives and healing, plus 100 rounds makes sure the doos on the other end usually dies!
Only thing I can't do for ***** is fly.. Then again, very few guys can fly properly..

Re: BFBC2 - Online
yeah but it's cause it doesn't nearly compare to vehicles in BF2.
there, even I could fly and that is saying something
hell even BF2142 had better vehicle control.

I find this rather strange! You should be averaging 20 - 50 ping with a 4mb line. Who is your ISP? Any processes running in the background? Updates... anything? 100 - 110 just to high!Anthro wrote:my 4mb clocks in at a steady 100-110
Just for the record - I started playing BC2 2 months ago and I personally feel that it is to late to start playing now - if you are thinking of getting the game. As a social player it will take you ages to get to a competitive level, unless you play there 24/7. Rather wait for Battlefield 3 to come out, might just be worth waiting for.
According to rumours going round its release date is set for November 2011, which will coincide with COD MW3 - Rumours, not confirmed yet, so let's see.

i run almost every night in BFBC2 but only for 30-60 mins then i get Frustrated on the lag on my internet.
Yes! i use iBurst that Sucks for online Gaming.
the one problem i Really have is The Grenade launchers Just don't explode at close Range! .even the enemy tells me i heard the Shot but nothing happend. after trying the Second shot on the same guy same thing happens.3rd time to test the stupid thing it blow in my face.

Re: BFBC2 - Online
The 40mm grenades in the game are pretty accurate to it's real life mates. A typical 40mm grenade either has to travel further than 5 meter for it to arm the fuse, or spin a certain amount of times (your grenade launcher tube is also rifled) for it to arm the fuse.Shawn911 wrote:the one problem i Really have is The Grenade launchers Just don't explode at close Range! .even the enemy tells me i heard the Shot but nothing happend. after trying the Second shot on the same guy same thing happens.3rd time to test the stupid thing it blow in my face.
So basically at point blank range a 40mm grenade is useless.
I guess its a safety mechanism so that a soldier does not blow himself up.
