It does have the ability to work with a cloud, installer just asked me now if I want to move docs online or not. However it seems it is still a stand alone package with cloud abilities?

I would only use a cloud when I was entirely sure that they would work well and be secure. I guess I have trust issues.

Tell me - what are the main differences? All my clients who have switched to 07 are now asking if they must go to 2010. Not sure how to answer them.

Is the full install only 684meg? Seems small?
Does it download anything else after you install?
Just checking before I destroy my cap.

Went to the Joint Biz launch on Tuesday for Server 2008 R2, Exchange 2010 and Windows 7. Also included a discussion about Office 2010, MS have actually done a really good job with these 3 products, and once set up together, it forms an amazingly efficient office setup. Add a Windows phone into the equation and the whole setup is full of win.

Once somebody has downloaded a full copy of the beta, please could somebody be so kind as to post me a copy. PM any takers and I'll forward my postal address.

First impressions were good. Except for the damn Send-A-Frown and Send-A-Smiley in the taskbar that didn't go away after closing Word.

For those of you dowloading the 64bit version.. any reason?
I see on the MS site it recommends you download the 32bit version even if you are runnig a 64bit system.

Looks like I'm going to give this a try, and the license seems to only expire late 2010.

That's great news!

The download is also surprisingly small, I'll probably grab this towards the end of the month.

I don't think you have to use 'the cloud', i'm sure you're allowed to save to hard drive as well ;)

hmmm, am getting a disk from my supplier to test... is it as scary as every one say it is?
"Integrity" and "integer" both contain a Latin root meaning "whole; complete." The root sense, then, is that people may be said to be acting with integrity when their beliefs, words, and actions have a sense of unity or wholeness.
