Re: The dead walk again as Halloween nears
Zombies are epic win!
I recommend watching all the George Romero (no relation to Rick) movies and then read World War Z by Max Brooks.
Hours of fun, and coincidentally, if zombies ever do walk the earth, my second floor flat with one easy to obstruct staircase would be a pretty good place hold out, ladies. You bring the chips, I'll bring the dip

Using the term 'bugger' loosely I hope!
Or did you mean 'oh bugger'?

A surprising amount of modern pseudoscience is coming out of the environmental sector. Perhaps it should not be so surprising given that environmentalism is political rather than scientific.

Re: The dead walk again as Halloween nears
The problem with Max Brooks is he bases his survival guide on the old-school zombie. You know, the slow moving, uncoordinated Night Of The Living Dead zombie.
What if we wake up tomorrow and are confronted by the fast, strong, agile and angry Dawn Of The Dead Zombie

Thats very true....then I hope there are some insta-kill power ups lying around or we'll be up s**t creek without a paddle.jamin_za wrote:The problem with Max Brooks is he bases his survival guide on the old-school zombie. You know, the slow moving, uncoordinated Night Of The Living Dead zombie.

I'd have to admit that faster zombies are hella more scary than the slow moving....but it's the slow, quiet ones that always sneak up on ya, when you least expect it....*looks over shoulder*

Re: The dead walk again as Halloween nears
Okay lets get necro a zombie thread for shirts and goggles
go to http://innawoods.net and design your ultimate Zombie survival load-out and post it here.
it's got to be more or less realistically what you can carry and get access to.
For example, my primary weapon is a Ruger .22 rifle
.22 rifles are just about the only gun you can own legally here... anything more powerful would be locked in a defense force or police armory.
The long range versions should do okay tho they shoot fairly high power rounds - a headshot will stop a zombie.
I also pack a Glock 9mm because that is the police issue here and I could loot it off a dead cop...
Raiding one of the many army surplus stores will account for the rest.

Re: The dead walk again as Halloween nears
I like were the scope is mounted on that AK, Tribble
Not only are you going to be the first person ever to fire a weapon renowned for being inaccurate beyond a few hundred meters with a scope, but you will also look absolutely rediculace once you use up your 5 clips worth of ammo and then start dual-wielding machetes...
I'll give that build 5/10, and 3 of those points are for hilarity!
