Re: Submerged PC
You used paraffin?
I really hope you don't have any shorts/sparks in the case... Could turn out interesting

Re: Submerged PC
No no no... I thought too it was paraffin, but actually it's paraffin oil, also called liquid paraffin. There is a difference between paraffin and paraffin oil

Re: Submerged PC
I can see a small problem when you try sell parts
That is a good idea for a media PC, completely silent! (I'm guessing)

Re: Submerged PC
Yes, I am using it as a media pc.
Regarding the reselling of these parts, I don't think that's gonna happen, unless it's cleaned real good... Lol, I wonder if warranty covers hardware submerged in oil

Re: Submerged PC
Please watch your caps. One of the guys on bit-tech did a mineral oil pc. He found the transformer oil at his capacitors on his mobo and graphics card.

Wow, nice work. I can't believe someone in SA actually did this
Quick question: Why didn't you throw the HDD in there too?
Nice work man

That guy that used to mod cases. Now I take photos. True story.
Re: Submerged PC
Thanks Dae, there is one problem with submerging a HDD under fluid - pressures must be maintained in a HDD. I don't know if any of you ever noticed the small hole somewhere on a hdd, that is for keeping balanced pressures.
But if somebody will sponsor me a SSD I'd be more than glad to submerge that...

There comes a time for every vampire when the idea of eternity becomes momentarily unbearable. Living in the shadows, feeding in the darkness with only your own company to keep, rots into a solitary, hollow existence.
