3DM06 bench using RDP + Quadro

Post by UrBaN »

Ok, no laughing.

I want to bench an HTPC I bought, to test the performance of Quadro GFX as opposed to normal GFX in the different test areas. It's running Windows 7 64-bit.

I don't have the PC hooked up to a screen so I'm RDPing into it and running it like that. I've got 3DM06 installed etc, but when it comes to running it, I noticed two problems:

1 - It wants to run the test at my lappie's res (1440*900)
2 - The GFX it wants to use for the test is RDPDD Chained DD - the RDP Engine...probably not as quick as the GFX card

Any idea how to force 3DM06 to bench using the GFX card and not using RDP, short of actually connecting a monitor (this will be a mission right now).

LOL, not one person on any of the local forums has even replied so I'm guessing it isn't going to happen.

you will get biased results because of the lag RDP.

Your laptop's res will obviously be limited to limits of your screen and probably the way your screen is set up.

Beg or borrow a friends screen? :?:

I was trying to get it to bench while I work without having to do a full setup - I don't have a screen available right now and couldn't be arsed to fetch one, hence RDP.

I'll just bench it tonight.
